Rabies Vaccination

Animal Rescue and Care (ARAC) has taken a commendable step in the fight against rabies by actively participating in an anti-rabies vaccination drive. This initiative, organized by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) Veterinary Health Department, targeted several areas, demonstrating a significant commitment to public and animal health.

The areas covered in this vaccination drive include the west area of Khar West Station, Old Khar, Mahim West Station, SNDT College, and the BSNL Santacruz area. This comprehensive approach ensures that a substantial number of dogs in these regions receive the rabies vaccine, which is crucial for both their health and the safety of the community.

The collaboration between MCGM and Animal Rescue and Care highlights the importance of joint efforts between governmental bodies and non-profit organizations in addressing public health issues. Rabies is a major concern in many areas, and proactive vaccination campaigns like this are essential in controlling its spread among stray and domestic dog populations.

The work done by ARAC and MCGM deserves appreciation as it not only protects the dogs but also contributes to the health and safety of the community at large. Such initiatives are vital in building a more humane and health-conscious society, where the well-being of all living beings is given priority.
